I placed my order and still haven’t gotten any updates at all!!! It hasn’t shipped yet, and I’m just sitting here waiting with no idea what’s going on!!!

I’ve had a good experience using Kestrel with the app so far. The Bluetooth connected quickly after the first setup, and it’s been smooth most of the time. I did have one moment where it didn’t sync right away, but I reopened the app and it worked fine after that. I’d say it’s worth trying if you’re looking for something that connects without much hassle. 4 stars from me.

Not gonna lie, getting my Kestrel set up was mostly smooth. The app connected fine after I restarted it once, and the calibration steps made more sense once I stopped rushing and actually read through them. It took a little longer than I expected, but the readings seem consistent now. I’d probably give it 5 stars if the first setup screens were a bit clearer.

Getting help from customer support was kind of a pain. They took forever to reply, and even after waiting, I still didn’t get a clear answer to my question

I really wanted this to work better for me, but the ballistic accuracy was kind of all over the place. Some shots lined up fine, then other times the data didn’t feel right and I ended up checking it against another app just to be sure. It’s not totally useless, but I wouldn’t call it reliable either. I also had to chase them to get any real response about the issue, which made the whole experience more frustrating.

I’ve been using this for a bit now and it does what it’s supposed to do, so I can’t really complain too much. That said, for the price, I expected a little more. A few of the features feel basic, and I’ve used cheaper options before that weren’t all that different. Shipping was fine too, nothing exciting, though I did forget I ordered it for a second because my week was weirdly busy and I had a bunch of packages show up at once. Overall, it’s okay, but I don’t think I’d call it great value for the money. I probably wouldn’t buy it again unless it was on sale.

It got the job done, I guess. It took me a bit longer than it probably should have because the whole thing felt kind of clunky, but sure, it was easy enough once I figured it out.

The firmware update was easy. The app worked fine and walked me through it without any trouble. I did check with support first, and they basically said something like, “just make sure the device is charged and follow the prompts,” which was all I needed. Everything updated smoothly.

The wind readings are helpful most days, so that’s good, totally fine, no big deal. But in gusty weather I’ve noticed the numbers kind of jump around more than I’d like. The other weather readings seem close enough, at least from what I can tell. It’s not bad or anything, I’m very calm about it, I just wish it felt a bit more steady and dependable

I’ve got mixed feelings overall, but the battery is definitely a plus. It lasted me through the whole weekend, which was nice, though I’m not sure everything else impressed me as much.
